Creating an account is free and takes less than a minute. Every student and teacher on Dooke Tech Academy has their own account.

1. 1Go to Join Free from the top of any page.
2. 2Enter your full name, email, and a password.
3. 3Submit the form. We send a verification code to your email.
4. 4Enter the code on the verification screen to confirm your account.

Once your account is confirmed, sign in with your email and password from the Log in page.

• Use the same email you signed up with.
• You can also continue with Google from the login screen.
• After signing in you land on your portal dashboard — unless you have a security code waiting for you, see below.

Every account — student, teacher, and admin — requires two-factor authentication (2FA) using an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password.

1. 1The first time you're prompted, go to Settings and click Enable two-factor authentication.
2. 2Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (or enter the code shown manually).
3. 3Enter the 6-digit code your app generates to confirm setup.
4. 4From then on, every sign-in asks for a fresh 6-digit code from your app after your password.

Forgot your password? You can set a new one from the login screen.

1. 1On the Log in page, click Forgot password?
2. 2Enter the email linked to your account and submit.
3. 3We email a reset link to that address. Open the email and click the link — check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
4. 4The link brings you back to set a new password. It expires for security, so use it as soon as it arrives.

When you sign in you arrive at your portal. Here's what you'll find:

• Dashboard — what to learn next, your membership, and a quick snapshot of progress.
• My Learning — pick up exactly where you left off, grouped by in progress, not started, and completed.
• My Courses — every course you're enrolled in, filterable by status.
• Community — discussions with other learners.
• Leaderboard & Achievements — your XP, level, streak, and badges.
• Settings — your profile photo, password, two-factor authentication, theme, and membership.

Explore the catalog from the Courses page. Filter by category, level, or type to find what fits you.

• Free courses are available to everyone.
• Premium courses are unlocked with a Dooke Tech Academy membership — learn more.
• Open a course to see its syllabus, instructor, and curriculum.

Once enrolled, open a course from My Learning to start.

• Lessons unlock one at a time — mark a lesson complete to open the next one. This applies to free and premium courses alike.
• Lessons marked as a free preview are always open, no matter where they sit in the course.
• You can always go back and review anything you've already completed — the lock only stops skipping ahead.
• Your progress bar and XP update automatically as you go.

Keep what you learn and prove it.

• Notes — a Notes tab sits right next to every lesson (video or text), so you can jot down ideas without leaving what you're watching. Notes are saved per lesson.
• Certificates — not every course awards one. If it does, finishing it issues yours automatically — find it under Certificates in your portal.

Learning is better together. Open Community from your portal to ask questions and share progress with other members.

• Post updates, images, or video, and tag a course with # or a classmate with @.
• A post tagged to a course is only visible to students in that course, plus staff — general posts are visible to everyone.
• Like comments, and delete your own — staff can moderate content that breaks our Community Guidelines.
• Climb the leaderboard by completing lessons and earning XP.

Live sessions are real-time classes and clinics with instructors. You'll find them under Live Events in your portal, and your next session also shows on your dashboard schedule.

• Sessions are sorted into Live now, Upcoming, and Past tabs so you always know what's happening.
• The Join the session button appears ten minutes before a session starts and stays open until the scheduled end time — tap it to open the Google Meet link in a new tab.
• If an instructor ends a session early, it moves to the Past tab right away — you don't need to wait for the original end time.
• Past sessions show a Watch recording button when a recording is attached, so you can catch up on anything you missed.

Want to create courses on Dooke Tech Academy? Start by applying from your portal.

1. 1Sign in and open Apply to teach from your portal sidebar.
2. 2Tell us about your expertise and the course you'd like to build.
3. 3Once approved, you get access to the course builder — and, like every staff account, you'll be asked to set up two-factor authentication before you can enter it.

The course builder walks you through creating your course step by step.

• Add course details, objectives, and a cover image.
• Build your curriculum with video and text lessons.
• Save drafts as you go — your work is kept locally until you submit.

When your course is ready, send it for review.

• Use Send for review to submit a new or updated course.
• Once approved, your course goes live in the catalog.
• Updates to published courses go through the same review to keep content stable.
• You can only see and edit your own courses — not other instructors' drafts or published content.
